<image:title>Our Office & Practices - Recycling & Composting</image:title>
<image:caption>Our office staff recycle cardboard and paperboard, glass, and metals, in addition to also participating in our county-wide carton and razor recycling program. All materials are taken to London or Richmond recycling facilities. Our staff also compost their food waste, coffee grounds and filters, tissues, and any other compostable materials! They take the compost home to apply to their own lawns and gardens. If you’re interested in composting at home, our staff would be happy to advise you and answer questions!</image:caption>

<image:title>Our Office & Practices - We Practice What We Preach</image:title>
<image:caption>1. We further reduce waste in our office by conducting as much business electronically (that is, via web and email) as possible. 2. We use the most efficient office equipment we can, and enable “energy save” and “toner save” settings where possible. 3. Our staff keep office lights turned off as much as possible, and make a conscious effort to conserve water. 4. We use 100% post-consumer recycled printer/copier paper and envelopes. 5. For everyday cleanup (if needed) we use cloths and a simple solution of vinegar and water. We purchase the vinegar in glass bottles to avoid plastic waste. 6. In the kitchen, we use plastic-free compostable dish sponges and ceramic dishes — no disposables! 7. In our staff restroom, plastic-free hand soap and cloth hand towels. This completely avoids waste from liquid hand soaps/refills and paper towels. 8. Because staples create problems with waste and recycling, we only use staple-less fasteners — paper clips, pins, and “staplers” like this one. 9. In 2018, other than our beloved Sharpie pens, we switched from plastic promotional items to paper products, hemp products, native species seeds, and reusable water bottles made from stainless steel and bamboo — all items that should be completely harmless to the environment and wildlife if they should become litter or be thrown away.</image:caption>
